Microwave/RF Machining Case Study: Exacting Tolerances
A leading microwave/RF firm approached Gemini Machining with the opportunity to machine a series of plates for a radar array, which was to be assembled by a top defense contractor. The manufacturer had begun the project with another precision machine shop, but cancelled the contract after it became apparent that the other company could not meet the extremely exacting standards required.
With Gemini, it was a different story. The Easton, Pa.-based precision machining firm produced nearly 3,000 pieces – all of which passed both internal and external QC, and are functioning without issue to this day.
